Recently inaugurated by the Assam Chief Minister, the said lounge will be a one-stop destination to get garden fresh and authentic Assam tea. This premium tea lounge will have two sections; in one section, people will be able to taste different varieties of tea, including CTC, Orthodox, Oolong, White, Yellow, and other seasonal items. You can get tea collected from different regions of the Brahmaputra and Barak Valley in Assam; it will be available for retail purchase as well as consumption too.
GTAC was established in 1970 and is the largest tea auction centre in India. Referring to this development, the Chairman of GTAC tea lounge trust stated that this particular tea lounge is expected to attract the younger generation toward tea drinking habits, including both hot and iced tea options.
