The illustrious and ancient city of Udupi has now added another tourist-friendly facility to its kitty. Henceforth, people interested in exploring the beautiful city and its outskirts can do so in a helicopter. According to the news reports, a three-day heli-tour programme at Udupi was inaugurated by the local MLA Raghupathi Bhat on Friday, January 11, 2019.
Sudesh Shetty, Mantra Toursim Development, told the press that the future plan is to make helicopter tourism a permanent feature in Udupi. The authorities want to even extend it to medical tourism as well as religious tourism for accessing the temple shrines in the city.
