Mumbai road will soon have mini buses operated by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) across a few important locations in the city. Reportedly, the buses will have the seating capacity of 21 passengers. The BEST mini buses are air-conditioned and operate on diesel. They will be operating on a wet-lease for seven years.
By launching these mini buses, Mumbai city hopes to bring the BEST buses once again in the popularity charts after private service providers like Uber and Ola took a major share of commuters held by BEST.
BEST has been serving Mumbai city since at least 40 years now. In fact, a BEST ride is an experience that every tourist in Mumbai should look forward to.
