Agra Bear Rescue Facility (Wildlife SOS)

Agra Bear Rescue Facility is located inside Soor Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, which manages and protects the largest sloth bear population in the world. Wildlife SOS, the organisation that has been working towards ending the brutal practice of dancing bear, has rescued over 600 bear from the tribal people who have been harming the cubs for earning their livelihood by using them for entertaining the public. These rescued bear have been rehabilitated in four Wildlife SOS rescue centres across India, one of which is in Agra. As you enter the place you will appreciate the effort taken to modify the surroundings and environment to give these sloth bear a feel of a natural habitat. Rescued bear that reach the rehabilitation centre are put through an elaborative protocol, followed by careful observation to create compatible groups.
