Tijara Jain Temple is situated only 55 km away from Alwar and lies on the Delhi-Alwar Highway. It is known as a ‘place of salvation’ owing to the many ancient Jain temples situated here. Tijara is a popular pilgrimage site for Jains and a place of great interest for history buffs.
The interiors of the Chandra Prabhu Temple are tastefully done with elaborate carvings, glass work and paintings depicting mythological stories. In Tijara, there are other Jain temples too. Important among them is an ancient the 250 years old temple of Parshavanath and Neminath which is located close-by.
