According to reports, the UK-based technology company, Travel Port is launching a global campaign to raise awareness to alert airlines when they have a passenger with intellectual or development disability on board.
Travelport has launched this after they found evidence that suggests that there is exceptionally low use of the Special Service Request code. The campaign is set to reach more than 100000 travel agents in over 30 countries. According to reports, the prompts are also going to be shown when any flight is about to be booked to or from the UAE, which is the country hosting Special Olympics World Summer Games 2019.
Furthermore, the UK-based company is looking towards India as a top market. The company is the sole distributor of Air India, and has now signed a distribution deal with Jet Airways.
