Khajuraho International Film Festival 2017 dates have been revealed. The festival will kick-off from 17th December 2017, and this time the focus will be on women empowerment, security forces and farmers. Madhya Pradesh Culture Department in collaboration with Prayas Productions, MP Tourism, and Urban Administration Department is organising the festival this time. Read less
Khajuraho International Film Festival 2017 dates have been revealed. The festival will kick-off from 17th December 2017, and this time the focus will be on women empowerment, security forces and farmers. Madhya Pradesh Culture Department in collaboration with Prayas Productions, MP Tourism, and Urban Administration Department is organising the festival this time.This will be Khajuraho International Film Festival’s (KFFI) third edition, and will be inaugurated by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Also, this time tribute will be given to some prominent veteran actors from Bollywood including Shashi Kapoor, Om Puri, and Tom Alter.

Manoj Shrivastava, principal secretary of MP Culture Department, said "The KFFI would focus on women empowerment, farmers, youths and security forces. Films based on these subjects will be screened in the 'Tapra Talkies' (Makeshift talkies) section, the main attraction of this festival."
This year, the fest will honour Shekhar Kapur for his achievements and success in the field of international cinema, informed director-producer Raja Bundela, who is also an actor and founder of Prayas Productions.

A number of eminent personalities from the film fraternity are expected to attend the fest, including Prem Chopra, Govind Namdev, Govind Nihlani, Jackie Shroff, Manmohan Shetty, and Pankaj Parashar, to name a few. These film personalities will also share their experiences and insights, and take Master Classes. They’ll provide acting tips and share filmmaking techniques with interested people.
Not only this, after the training session is completed, three students will be selected from the lot via competition. And these three lucky people would be trained by the famous Anupam Kher, Subhash Singh, and Ramesh Sippy personally.
