Mention Dubrovnik and blue waters are the first thing that come to mind. The city, with its distinctive orange rooftops is surrounded from all sides by sparkling blue waters. This vision has graced many a postcard, which is why thousands of tourists flock to the beaches of Dubrovnik every year. From quiet and offbeat beaches to popular ones, Dubrovnik has them all. A number of Dubrovnik’s best beaches are located at walking distance from the Old Town, thus, making them easily accessible to tourists who prefer not to rent a car in Croatia. If you do decide to rent a car, then you can venture to beaches that are slightly further off—these beaches get fewer tourists and are much quieter in comparison. Make sure you pack a picnic hamper, towels and even an umbrella if you intend to spend the day at a beach that is on the outskirts of Dubrovnik. If you prefer your beaches to come with a fair share of restaurants and cafes, then stick to the ones around the Old Town centre. There is no dearth of eateries and water sports. Everything from jet skiing and kayaking to boating and swimming is on offer—just pick something you really enjoy and spend the day indulging your passion. Here are five of our favourite beaches in Dubrovnik:Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
