Rumtek Monastery: Rumtek Monastery is also known as the Dharma Chakra Centre. It is one of the most important and largest monasteries in Sikkim located near Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Rumtek Monastery is the seat of the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and is home to myriad sacred artifacts, such as statues, thangkas, and religious scriptures.
Tashiding Monastery: Tashiding Monastery, on top of a hill between the Rathong and Rangit rivers in West Sikkim, is counted among the holiest monasteries in Sikkim. It is said to have been built in the 17th century and is known for its sacred chorten (stupa) that is believed to cleanse sins.

Phodong Monastery: Phodong Monastery in North Sikkim is another beauty founded in the 18th century. It belongs to the Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism and houses a large collection of ancient murals, scriptures, and religious artifacts.
