Pemayangtse Monastery: Pemayangtse Monastery is set close to Pelling in West Sikkim. It is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim and in India dating back to the 17th century. It belongs to the Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Visitors can enjoy some stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Mount Khangchendzonga, which is also the third highest peak in the world.
