According to sources in the tourism department of Andhra Pradesh, a big chunk of tourists are looking for nightlife tourism packages, especially from Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Bengaluru. The night tours will commence with the help of representatives of the forest department and the tourism department. Tourists will be taken into the forest in jeeps. All necessary measures would be taken to protect the tourists from animals, and also to protect the animals so that they do not get disturbed in their natural habitat.
According to sources, a tribal hamlet called Sunkarametta, located near the Araku Valley, has been identified for the purpose of Night Vihar. The area has a short-cut from Vizag via Sunkarametta to Araku, traversing through a dense forest. This stretch will be used for night forest tourism package.
