Sarbajanina Durga Puja Samiti at Old Station Bazaar is the first puja committee to host a community puja and also set up a silver filigree backdrop for the Goddess in Bhubaneswar. Puja here started 61 years back. This year, the puja committee has set up the Palace of Bahubali as the welcome arch and the interiors are decorated with scenes from the blockbuster movie—Babhubali carrying the Shiva Linga and warriors worshipping the Goddess before entering the battlefield. The replica has been designed by Subash Jena, who is a set designer in the Odia film industry. The puja committee is spending a whooping 50 lakh on decorations alone.
