The Janaki Mandir in Janakpur of Mithila region of Nepal has come alive at the Nayapalli Puja Pandal. Artisans from both Odisha and West Bengal have used copper metal and palm leaves to fashion the 80-ft high and 120-ft wide pandal. This year, the organisers are paying respect to Devi Sita through their pandal. A large lamp will be lit in the pandal in memory of the Uri martyrs. Apart from cultural functions, Bhajan Samaroha, Ram Leela will be organised during the festival. Five imposing light gates have come up near the pandal that is located along the National Highway - 5. The Nayapalli Puja Committee has been organising Durga Puja since 1988 and every year it sets up majestic welcome arches depicting social issues and heritage monuments.
