Having kids is simply an excuse for visiting the massive Hakuhinkan Toy Park in Ginza. Four floors packed full of more toys and action figures than you have ever seen in one place. The easiest way to experience Hakuhinkan is to take the elevator to the top floor and work your way down. After you race a few laps around the slot car race track against other shoppers, that is. This winding 8-car track is the highlight of Hakuhinkan and only costs 100 yen for five minutes of racing again.

In addition to the slot car raceway, the fourth floor is home to all the games—this includes video games, board games and card games, as well as jigsaw puzzles and magic tricks. The third floor is all toys, from toddlers to teens, boys and girls. All your stuffed animal needs can be filled on the second floor and by the time you reach the first floor, lifestyle collections and seasonal goods, you should be “shopped out.” But then, you can always browse the collection of dolls in the basement.

In the neighborhood after closing time? Simply walk around to the back of the building to use the 24 hours toy vending machine.
