Not a theme park, but this show promises entertainment just like the parks. What’s more, there are package deals where Australian Outback Spectacular can be clubbed with the theme parks and made part of your itinerary for a very reasonable cost. It was during this show that I learned about the Australian Alps, the highest mountain range in Australia, or the High Country as it is referred to colloquially. This beautiful mountainous region was the backdrop of the show. With fantabulous sets, attention to the minutest of details and use of modern technology, the region is brought right in front of you. Added to the mesmerising scenery are some death-defying stunts, such as acrobatics performed by cowboys and cowgirls that will have you on the edge of your seats. Along with the entertainment comes food from the land, steak and potatoes, the traditional meal of the High Country. You will come away bedazzled by the experience and it may just have you sold on a trip to the intimidating Aussie Alps.
