Noteworthy for: Historic and haute, Newbury is known as the 'Rodeo Drive of the East' for its tony shops unfurling along a street that's both architecturally refined and picturesque.

Newbury Street, with its eight city blocks of retail elegance, presents a full spectrum of shopping. It's ritzier on one end closest to the Public Garden, with names like Chanel and Zegna, and less exclusive on the other with stores like Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters.
This variety in affordability and style offers the convenience of a mall, but with the considerably more graceful experience of strolling down tree-lined streets, dining alfresco at a sidewalk cafe, and dipping in and out of 19th century brownstones with shopping bags in hand. The eclectic and international mix of shoppers also allows for premium people-watching.
