Home to Prague's own miniature version of the Eiffel Tower, wooded, rocky Petřín Hill is one of the city's prettiest and most accessible parks. Spectacular views over Prague
Talk of the town: Petřín Hill houses the Hunger Wall, a functionless rampart constructed in the 14th century solely to give poor Praguers work during a recession.
One of the most pleasant and laziest ways of enjoying the park is taking the glass sided funicular railway that scales the hill, which accepts normal metro tickets. Once at the top, the views are fine even if you don't climb the 19th century observation tower, while the grounds also contain the interesting Štefánik Observatory and a fun mirror maze, and border on the impressive baroque Strahov Monastery.
