Jamie Smith has etched his name in Test cricket history, equaling Quinton de Kock's record for the fastest 1,000 runs by a wicketkeeper, achieving the milestone in just 21 innings. Smith's impressive form includes a rapid century at Edgbaston and a record-breaking unbeaten 184, solidifying his place among elite wicketkeeper-batters.

Clive Madande, the Zimbabwean wicketkeeper, set an unwanted record during the one-off Test match against Ireland in Belfast on Friday. The 24-year-old, who had a challenging debut after being dismissed for a duck on the first day, conceded 42 byes in a single innings, surpassing the previous record of 37 byes set by England's Les Ames in 1934. Ames, considered one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batsmen in cricket history, had conceded those byes against Australia at The Oval.

To mark the 2,000th Test match, which will take place between England and India at Lord's from 21 to 25 July, the ICC has called on supporters from across the globe to select their greatest team of all time.
