The Indian Institute Of Technology Kharagpur Foundationfounded by the alumni of IIT Kgp in USA has announced international internships to be awarded to 15 students from the Institute this year at top global universities.

IIT Kharagpur has launched a new school dedicated to digital learning, applied AI, and machine learning. This research-centric initiative, supported by a significant philanthropic commitment, aims to accelerate AI innovation and deployment across various sectors. The school will foster industry-academia collaboration to develop sovereign AI solutions for India and the world.

IIT-Kharagpur held an interactive session with the alumni on Tuesday to discuss areas that require transformation and transition to meet future goals in terms of alma connect. The director of the institute, V K Tewari, focused on some key areas where alumni support is needed to provide exposure to students and to build infrastructure for IIT-Kharagpur.
