A fight broke out between two neighbours in the Shahbad Dairy area on Monday. A police team reached the spot and pacified the two neighbours, Azad and Kamalkant, who were engaged in a brawl.

Observing that considering value of poisonous substance, thallium and arsenic, found in the victim's body, it looked like it was pre-planned murder, a sessions court refused to grant bail to Santacruz home-maker Kavita Shah (46), accused along with her lover Hitesh Jain,of poisoning her husband Kamalkant Shah to death. The court held that prosecution had sufficient material to point to her guilt.

Hitesh Jain, accused of poisoning Kamalkant Shah with his lover Kavita, claims the victim's sister implicated them falsely to seize family property. While Kavita received bail, Hitesh remains in custody. He argues there's no direct evidence against him and hints at foul play by the complainant. The case centers around familial discord and allegations of extramarital affairs.
