A New York federal judge has dismissed Blake Lively’s sexual harassment claims against Justin Baldoni in connection with It Ends With Us, ruling that she was an independent contractor and therefore not protected under Title VII. However, the case is far from over, as key claims including retaliation remain intact, meaning a jury will still hear significant parts of the dispute. The legal battle, which also involved dismissed countersuits from Baldoni and his production company, is now heading toward a high-stakes trial set for May 18.
