Google down: Users report seeing this ‘server error’ message on Search

Google is down. Several users across different regions reported issues with Google Search, with many seeing an error message that read: “Server Error. We're sorry but it appears that there has been an internal server error while processing your request.” The message further said that Google engineers had been notified and were working to fix the issue. While the website performance platform Downdetercot shows no outage reports, users have reported issues accessing Google Search on X (formerly known as Twitter).


The outage appeared to affect users trying to access Google Search, with many taking to social media platforms to report the problem and share screenshots of the error page. The Times of India tried accessing Google Search and faced the same issue.
