GoBoult Mustang Stallion smartwatch review: Loud and bold
Rating: 3.5/5
Not literally, of course, but the company has licensed the iconic American muscle car brand and built a lineup of smartwatches around it, with the Mustang Stallion sitting at the top. At a price of Rs 4,999 on its website, this smartwatch is positioned to lure those who like the muscle mixed with the sensitivity of health tracking in the budget bracket. After weeks of daily use, here is what it is actually like to wear one.

Design and Display
There is nothing subtle about the Mustang Stallion. The smartwatch features a large dial, a chunky metallic case, pronounced buttons on the right side, a physical rotating bezel with speedometer-inspired markings and big Mustang logo stamped on the strap. It comes in two colour options — Turbo Orange and Nitro Black with yellow accents.
The rotating bezel is the design’s most distinctive physical feature. It is tactile yet soft, making it satisfying to spin. It also serves a functional purpose: rotating the bezels cycles through multiple watch faces instantly, saving your time to go in the app and select the watch face that matches your outfit. The strap strong, quality is good and secures firmly on the wrist. It also gets the IP67 dust and water resistance rating, which means it can handle rain and dust easily.
Overall, the design language will attract someone who is a Mustang fan and enjoys bold, automotive-inspired style watch. The GoBoult Stallion, as the name suggests, is chunky and muscular, and is expected to attract a niche segment of buyers.
Inside the bezel sits a 1.43-inch AMOLED touchscreen, and it is genuinely good for the price. Colours are vibrant, blacks are deep and text is crisp and readable. The 700-nit peak brightness keeps things legible under direct summer midday sunlight, which is a real-world test that many budget displays fail. The Always-On Display option works well. While the pre-loaded watch faces are themed around the Mustang brand, including car and wheels, you can also use custom watch faces.
Interface and navigation
The software navigation is well thought out. Swiping down from the home screen opens quick settings; Swiping up shows unread notifications; and swiping left offers widgets such as activity rings, sleep data, heart rate, blood oxygen readings and weather. The animations are smooth, and touch responsiveness is reliable throughout.Pairing with the GoBoult Fit app is straightforward, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity is stable, and the built-in microphone and speaker work well for the price. We were able to hear calls clearly in home environment and the relay our message equally efficiently.
Notifications arrive reliably for calls, messages and app alerts with some hiccups in some situations like emojis and complex scripts. The GoBoult Fit app provides a clean, basic interface for reviewing activity history, customising watch faces and adjusting settings.
When it comes to health tracking, GoBoult lists an extensive range of health features, including continuous heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen (SpO2), blood pressure, stress tracking, sleep monitoring and over 120 sport modes. We reviewed the basic activities like jogging, walking and basic gym exercise, and the results were reliably accurate. Blood pressure and stress monitoring are also available, though we advice to not rely on these as they are more like indicators rather than clinical measurements.
Battery
The 300mAh battery is rated for up to seven days, and we reached for the charger in about 5 days after a full charge. Our usage included AOD and health tracking, notifications and taking occasional calls. You get a magnetic pogo-pin charger, and the watch can be charged using a regular adapter.Verdict
The GoBoult Mustang Stallion is a capable smartwatch for its price. It stands out from the competition in the way it looks and feels. It is inspired by the ‘Mustang muscle’ with excellent display for its price, reliable health tracking, string battery life and intuitive navigation. The Bluetooth calling works, the app is functional and the voice assistant integration is an add-on feature.Having said that, the design will not appeal to everyone, specifically the loud statement it makes and the colour combination it comes with. The overall bold and design is a deliberate choice rather than a neutral one, targeting a specific group of people. But at Rs 4,999, the Stallion offers a package that goes beyond what the price tag might suggest.
