Sony Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ specifications leak online
NEW DELHI: Japanese smartphone manufacturer Sony is expected to launch two new smartphones - Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ, at IFA 2016, if a report from Techtastic website is to be believed.
Techtastic has even posted specifications of the upcoming smartphones. As per the website, the Xperia XZ smartphone will have a 5.2-inch curved 2.5D glass display. It’s also expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. For imaging duties, the smartphone will reportedly have a 23MP rear camera with dual LED flash and laser autofocus. A 13MP front-facing snapper is also expected.
On the other hand, the Xperia X Compact (some media reports are suggesting it will be called Xperia XR) will likely have a 4.6-inch display. Other major specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a 2,700mAh battery.
Both Xperia devices are also expected to come with USB Type-C connectivity.
Famed tipster Evan Blass has also tweeted the image of a smartphone, claiming it to be the Xperia X Compact.
Recently, the company confirmed that it will be rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for selected Xperia devices. The Japanese smartphone maker confirmed that the update will be available for Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance devices.
The company has not yet revealed the exact time the update will start rolling out for these devices. Details about the same are expected to be available soon.
