LeEco smartphone with dual-camera setup leaked online

NEW DELHI: Seems like Chinese smartphone maker LeEco is planning to launch its upcoming smartphone with dual camera modules. A leaked image on the Web, claiming to show the back panel of one of the company’s upcoming smartphones, shows the handset featuring two rear camera lenses and a fingerprint below it.

The back panel shows the company logo towards the bottom and a fingerprint cut out in the middles as well. In addition, the antenna bands are seen on top and bottom edges, something that have been rumoured for the iPhone 7.

The smartphone with similar back panel is rumoured to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor and launch this week, as indicated by a company teaser via a Chinese microblogging website.


The same smartphone also reportedly showed up on AnTuTu smartphone benchmarking website. As per the listing, the handset, codenamed LEX720, sports full-HD display and is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996pro SoC (rumoured as Snapdragon 823), with Adreno 530 GPU. Other specifications include 8MP front-facing camera, 16MP rear camera, 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage.

The leak goes in line with the recent report suggesting that Xiaomi, Oppo and LeEco handsets will be using dual camera setup from Samsung Electro Mechanics division.

LeEco this month launched its Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones in India priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively. The two smartphones went on their first-ever flash sale in the country today. The company claims a total of over 5 lakh registrations during the flash sales. Both these smartphones are also said to be the first in the world to forego the traditional 3.5mm jack and feature a USB Type-C audio port.
