Apple Macbook Pro is coming, here's the biggest proof
NEW DELHI: Apple has not yet confirmed anything regarding its long-rumoured Macbook Pro devices that are supposed to feature an OLED control panel above the keyboard. However, the company has reportedly already started making space for them at its retail stores in the US.
According to multiple online reports, Apple has started clearing its retail stores of the 13-inch non-Retina Macbook Pro laptops. Some online websites add that Apple has been clearing space at several of its US stores since during the past one week, which hints that the company is gearing to bring the rumoured devices soon.
It has also been mentioned that while the 13-inch non-Retina Macbook Pro laptops are still in stock to buy at majority of the stores, Apple is not keeping it out for users to try in person. A refresh for Macbook Pro makes perfect sense considering that the company has not updated the range since 2012.
Apple is likely to completely refresh its MacBook lineup this year, according to a research note by Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities last month. Kuo claims that the models will be "thinner and lighter" and the design will largely be borrowed from the company's 12-inch MacBook.
The upcoming MacBook Pro models will also feature Touch ID support along with a new OLED display touch bar above the keyboard. The touch bar is supposed to replace the function keys at the top of the keyboard.
According to Kuo, the updates will be arriving to 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook models by fourth quarter of this year and calls them the "brightest spot for Apple's 2016 rollouts." Not only the 13-inch and 15-inch models are said to be updated, but the company is also rumoured to bring a new 13-inch MacBook that will be similar to the 12-inch Retina MacBook model.
