Community development plays a crucial role in fostering inclusive growth. Orient Electric’s continued commitment to this vision is reflected in its CSR initiative, Ujjwal, an effort which recognises the role of electricians in our society while empowering them for a brighter future.
Orient Electric, in collaboration with Skill India and Samaarambh Foundation, has upskilled over 15,000 electricians in the last three years of which more than 4000 have been trained in the past year alone.
Each Ujjwal session is designed to cover key aspects of technical training, safety standards, customer handling, communication, and other interpersonal skills.
Led by experienced trainers, these sessions not only focus on strengthening technical expertise but also on building practical capabilities and soft skills. A key aspect of the initiative is its alignment with Skill India guidelines, ensuring structured training and recognised certification.
Ujjwal is not just about upskilling electricians-it is also about uplifting them. Through continuous learning and capability building, Orient Electric aims to empower electricians to build more secure livelihoods, lead confident and dignified lives, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.
