According to reports, Nikki and Brie Bella were scheduled to compete in the Women's Tag Team Title Match on WrestleMania, but Nikki's health has been in question ever since she rolled her ankle on the March 27 edition of SmackDown.

Meanwhile, WWE legend John Cena officially confirmed his return to WWE and announced that he would appear as the official host of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. This sudden announcement marks Cena's return to WWE programming after he retired from in-ring competition in 2025. He further revealed in his official statement that although he will not be competing in a match, he will appear as the official host of the event and will be part of the show in a special role.
