The February 13 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown took place in the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, and aired on Syfy this week. It featured two Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, filling the field for the matches alongside a huge title showdown.The show opened with a chaotic scene after Tiffany Stratton came down to the ring. She addressed her plans for the Elimination Chamber match, but was interrupted by Nia Jax and Lash Legend. They were joined by their opponents for the night, the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky, and tensions erupted, leading to the first match of the night.The opening contest of SmackDown this week was one of the best matches of the night. Both sides clashed with hard-hitting moves and exciting spots, leading fans to erupt in 'This is Awesome' chants. However, the final moments saw IYO Sky dropping Nia Jax through a table outside the ring and Lash Legend slamming Rhea Ripley through the barricade, ending the match in a No Contest.Originally, it was supposed to be Carmelo Hayes defending his US title against Ilja Dragunov. However, Solo Sikoa and his MFT members attacked them only for Shinsuke Nakamura, Matt Cardona and Apollo Crews to come to their aid. Nick Aldis then made it a 10-man tag team match between both sides, which was an explosive encounter. The match saw Solo's side win after Tama Tonga hit the Cut Throat on Melo to score the pinfall for his team.The triple threat match took place between Giulia, Alexa Bliss, and Zelina. The exciting bout had fans invested throughout with loud chants and ended with Bliss hitting the Sister Abigail DDT on Zelina to pick up the win and qualify for the Women's Elimination Chamber.This was a singles bout between Trick Williams and Rey Fenix. The match was majorly dominated by Williams and ended with him hitting the Trick Shot on Fenix to win the exciting in-ring encounter.This match was contested for the WWE Women's Championship between the champion Jade Cargill and Jordynne Grace. Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were at ringside. The match between the two powerhouses was a highly compelling showdown. The trio produced a highly stellar showdown with high stakes involved. However, the final moments of the bout saw Drew McIntyre interfere and attack Jacob Fatu just as he was about to win. He then took out Cody Rhodes with the Claymore and put Sami Zayn on him for the pin. Rhodes kicked out, Sami took down Drew with a Helluva Kick.
