Brock Lesnar has been one of the top draws for
WWE for a long time. The Beast Incarnate made his return to WWE after two years at the 2025 SummerSlam PLE and has been featured in marquee showdowns. A recent announcement was made hinting that WWE might have locked in plans for him for their upcoming premier show, WrestleMania 42.
The Stamford-based promotion took to their X to announce that Lesnar is scheduled to appear on the February 23 edition of Monday Night RAW. The episode will take place live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This could mean that Lesnar could begin his program for the road to WrestleMania 42 and be positioned for a major match in Las Vegas. The tweet read,
“JUST ANNOUNCED! The Beast Brock Lesnar LIVE at Raw in Atlanta ONE WEEK from Monday!” Who is rumored to be Brock Lesnar's opponent at WWE WrestleMania 42?
There have been rumors that Brock Lesnar has been penciled to face rising star Oba Femi, who recently made his main roster debut at the 2026 Royal Rumble PLE. However, according to a report by Dave Meltzer, that is not a 100% done deal and WWE is still considering it. He said,
“That’s not 100 percent by the way… it could happen. I’m not saying it’s not happening. I’m just saying that I was told this one’s not 100 percent, and that was the Lesnar and Oba Femi match.”Oba Femi entered the Men's Royal Rumble as the #1 entrant and lasted over 40 minutes. During his time in the rumble match, Femi scored multiple eliminations and even had a brief clash with Brock Lesnar, which garnered a loud pop. Ultimately, the former WWE Universal Champion delivered a suplex and eliminated him from the 30-man over-the-top-rope melee.
The reaction from the face-off between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar could be a sign that WWE ultimately decides to make the bout official for WrestleMania 42. Moreover, it would be a major push for the former NXT Champion, who has been poised to become a top attraction on the main roster.
With The Beast making his way to Monday Night RAW on the road to WrestleMania, it remains to be seen if it will actually be Oba Femi or someone else as his opponent for WrestleMania 42.
