“Stupid f***ing fool”: Vince McMahon’s explosive reaction after 100mph crash revealed in Connecticut police video
Newly released dashcam footage shows Vince McMahon driving at extreme speed moments before a violent highway crash in Connecticut. The former WWE chairman, 80, was clocked at nearly 115 mph on Route 15 in Westport on July 24, 2025. Seconds later, his Bentley Continental GT Speed slammed into a BMW and struck a guardrail, sending debris across the road. Smoke poured from the wrecked luxury car as it rolled to a stop.
Police say no one was seriously hurt. The footage captures McMahon appearing shaken as a state trooper approached his mangled vehicle. Airbags had deployed. When told how fast he was driving, McMahon insisted he was not fleeing and said he was on his way to his granddaughter’s birthday.
The Connecticut State Police video documents the tense exchange that followed. “I’m trying to catch up to you and you keep taking off. You almost hit I think 115 miles an hour,” the trooper told McMahon (via The US Sun).
Seated inside the damaged Bentley, McMahon replied, “I’m trying to drive. I haven’t been driving my car in God knows how long”. He appeared disoriented and declined medical attention.
As he handed over his documents, he muttered, “God damn it. Stupid f**king fool”. The remark, caught clearly on camera, has drawn wide attention since the footage became public.
When informed that no one was injured, McMahon reacted with relief. “Oh s**t, that’s a miracle,” he said.

Investigators state that McMahon rear-ended a BMW driven by Barbara Doran while traveling northbound on the Merritt Parkway. The impact pushed her vehicle forward and off the roadway. A third car in the opposite lane struck debris from the crash.
Doran later described the moment in a public post. “McMahon hit me going 80-90 mph as I drove in the right lane of the narrow Merritt Highway,” she wrote. She added, “McMahon saw me last minute and swerved, smashing into my left rear, but that if he had hit me full on, there might’ve been a very different ending for me”.
Reflecting on the timing, Doran noted, “Oddly, Hulk Hogan, who made McMahon’s fame and fortune, died about the same time as the accident”.
Authorities charged McMahon with reckless driving and following too closely. In October 2025, a judge approved his entry into a pretrial program requiring a $1,000 charitable donation and proper licensing. If completed, the charges will be dismissed. His attorney, Mark Sherman, said, “It was good news.”
Sherman added that not every car accident qualifies as a crime and added that the judge agreed McMahon deserved the dismissal. He expressed gratitude for the court’s decision and described the outcome as positive for his client.
