MCC National Jr championship: Seeds ease into second round

CHENNAI: The top seeds did not have to face much of a hurdle and they eased into the second round MCC National Jr clay court Tennis championship 2018 at the Madras Cricket Club courts here on Monday. Top seed Megh Patel of Gujarat, third seed Rishab Sharda of Chandigarh, Ajay Malik of Haryana who is seeded 7th scored straight set wins over their respective opponents.VM.Sanddep of Tamil Nadu also joined them in the next round when he downed Aman Patel of Gujarat in straight sets.
In the qualifying events Kundana Sri Bandaru and Mridula Palnivel of TN did well to qualify. Earlier in the day, P.Hitesh, Krishna Taja Raja and Sukunthan Elangeswaran also qualified into the main round.
