NEOM

(Saudi Arabia): Not for nothing that

Dakar Rally

is known as the mother of all rallies. Tough terrain and testing conditions pose new challenges to the riders every day. And that happened as many bikers lost their way at the half-way mark at

Jaballelloz

while negotiating the highest altitudes of the rally on Tuesday.

The third stage was again full of dust and rocky terrains, making it difficult to find ways, thus losing crucial time. There was also way point error from the organizers, and they were trying to fix the problems. Thus, rankings may change after the organizers may reschedule the positions.

For Hero MotoSport

Sebastian Buhler

of Germany had a consistent run to finish 26th place in the stage and 22 overall as per the provisional rankings. “I enjoyed today’s stage a lot. It had some very fast tracks and the bike was also running perfectly. At around 400 km there was a waypoint that was difficult to find. A lot of riders got confused and lost time. Overall, I think I am riding good and hope to continue in the same way,” said Buhler later.

The other rider, Paulo Goncalves of Portugal faced a technical issue today. He stopped at 30 km and his bike didn’t start.
