Evander Kane’s fiancée, Mara Tiegen, gave a small but very emotional message after famous fashion designer Giorgio Armani passed away. Armani died at his home in Milan, Italy, on September 4, 2025, at the age of 91. The next day, Mara Tiegen reposted a story from

on Instagram. With the post, she added just two words: “RIP legend.” The short note came as Mara was also enjoying family time in Vancouver, where she had just celebrated her 31st birthday with her kids, Evander Kane, and her parents.

Mara Tiegen, a model and the partner of Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane, reacted quickly when the world learned that Giorgio Armani had passed away in Milan. Her Instagram Story on September 5 showed a black-and-white picture shared by

. Underneath, Mara wrote:
“RIP legend.”Armani’s influence stretched across decades. Born in Piacenza, Italy, he began working in shop windows before entering the design world in the 1960s. In 1975, he founded the label “Giorgio Armani.” Known for soft tailoring and clean style, he changed the way people looked at modern fashion.
Giorgio Armani’s “power suits” became popular in the 1980s, and his designs appeared in movies like
American Gigolo
. Stars such as Princess Diana and Beyoncé wore his clothes. He later expanded into perfumes, hotels, and home décor, creating one of the strongest independent fashion brands.

Just days before Giorgio Armani’s death, Mara Tiegen turned 31. On August 24, 2025, she marked her birthday at home in Vancouver with her children. She shared photos of herself in pink pajamas, hugging her kids, and showing a balloon display that spelled “MOM.”
A silver heart balloon and a pastel mug reading “best mom ever” also appeared in her posts. Smiling with her children, she called them her “best friends.”
That evening, Mara went out for a private dinner with Evander Kane and her parents. At the restaurant, she blew out candles placed on a dessert while Kane sat beside her. She captioned one story:
“31! Love these people.”The celebrations came soon after Kane’s summer trade to the Vancouver Canucks from the Edmonton Oilers. Kane, who is back in his hometown, is entering the last season of his four-year, $20.5 million contract. Earlier this summer, Kane and Mara also traveled to France for the wedding of his former teammate Leon Draisaitl before moving into their new life in Vancouver.
