Avalanche to wear Quebec Nordiques jerseys against Canadiens in tribute to historic rivalry

Colorado Avalanche bringing Nordiques look to Montreal Ice

The NHL has approved an extra game for the Colorado Avalanche to wear these throwback jerseys. They will be debuting in Montreal against the Avalanche's historic rivals this season. Originally, seven games were scheduled to feature these blue uniforms this season; now they can add one more to continue showcasing the team's legacy. These jerseys feature the iconic igloo logo and a fleur-de-lis pattern that references the flag of Quebec and the pride of French-Canadians.


In honor of the Avalanche's 30th anniversary of moving from Quebec City to Denver in 1995, the Avalanche has introduced this design as part of its heritage.
