Melanie Parkinson has won five state and national tournaments during her playing career. It seems she is a person fully devoted to the game of golf. She also competed in two big American Junior Golf Association events, which are regarded as one of the best events for junior golfers in the country. Besides all the great feats Melanie has been having on the athletic fields, she was an outstanding academic when at the University of Alabama. She was named to the Spring Academic Honor Roll. Melanie is ranked 114th in the Women's Western Amateur. Melanie continues to shine-tied for first in a tournament recently. She demonstrates commitment to the game.

In the world of the internet, love stories begin online too. And it is on the same trend for Colby and Melanie. While previous generations would court face-to-face, many couples today first meet and connect through social media. When Colby found Melanie on Instagram, he fell instantly for her.
Melanie was an Alabama golfer from the SEC. Like so many people in their generation, Colby took a chance and sent her a message, and to his surprise, she responded, but it actually created what would later become a deep connection.
They soon transitioned from text to voice messages, which was a sign that something deeper began to evolve between the two. As they began to get closer, they decided that it was finally time to see each other first for real on March 10, 2022- a day which proved their mutual feelings.

Knowing their relationship was meant to be, it did not take Colby and Melanie long to get engaged. On October 24, 2022, with incredibly busy lives, it wasn't just the chance but the time to be put into an engagement ring as Colby asked Melanie to marry him.
It was only three months later on March 10, 2023, when the couple married at the beautiful Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, amidst the spectacular Allegheny Mountains. It was the day Colby had been dreaming about for two years. As Melanie walked down the aisle, he could hardly contain his emotions. He said remembering that moment, “I have never seen someone so beautiful in my entire life. I may or may not have cried! But it was the moment that God had prepared for us.”


Since their matrimony, Colby and Melanie have embraced the new life they are having together, inside and outside the sector. The newlyweds welcomed their first child, a male baby named Forrest, in March 2024, adding yet another layer of joy to this already beautiful story.
Professionally, he made a big move from the Seattle Seahawks to the Los Angeles Rams during the offseason. At this point in his life of football, he found great happiness in his personal life with Melanie by his side.
