John Boyle, Senior Reporter of Seahawks.com, reported that fullback Robbie Ouzts is listed as questionable because of a lingering neck injury. He is the only player on the roster with a game status for Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Rookie fifth-rounder Ouzts and offensive tackle Josh Jones, who has dealt with knee and ankle injuries for weeks, were both limited participants on Friday.
Ouzts was also limited on Thursday and Wednesday. However, Jones is off the injury report for the Super Bowl. Safety Nick Emmanwori did not receive any injury designation despite an ankle injury scare mid-week. Ouzts is the only one with a designation.
Is Robbie Ouzts playing in the Super Bowl 60 against the New England Patriots?
Robbie Ouzts is the only player uncertain to play for the Seahawks against the Patriots in Super Bowl LX. If he does not play, Brady Russell will take his place.
The rookie fullback’s NFL journey has been marred by injuries from the start. He suffered an ankle injury during the Seahawks’ Week 3 win over the New Orleans Saints. Russell stepped in as the Seahawks’ top fullback at that time. Two days later, Robbie was placed on injured reserve.
In the first three games, the Alabama alumnus recorded 60 offensive snaps. He missed four games and returned to play against the Washington Commanders in Week 9.
During Week 12 practice, he was dealing with an elbow injury and missed the first two sessions of the week for a personal matter.
However, the 23-year-old Alabama Crimson Tide tight end played against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. In Week 15, he was listed as inactive for the matchup against the Indianapolis Colts because of a coach’s decision. He played 14 of the Seahawks’ 66 snaps in the Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers.
In January 2026, the rookie fifth rounder was ruled out of the NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams with a neck injury. Russell was the only healthy fullback on the roster for the crucial matchup.
Robbie Ouzts 2025 NFL stats
The 6-foot-3, 274-pounder played tight end for Alabama, but the Seahawks converted him to fullback to strengthen their physical run game under offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
He is exclusively used as a blocker and so has not recorded any carries or receptions during the regular season. He ran 29 routes across 182 offensive snaps and was not targeted in the passing game.
As a tight end for Alabama, he had eight receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns in the 2024 season. At the NFL Combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.91 seconds and did 26 reps on the bench press in Feb. 2025.
