Traveling from Denmark and eventually Washington, D.C., Alina Thyregod first met Caleb Williams as teenagers at Gonzaga College High School. They were briefly lovers until Alina returned to Denmark, and the couple split. The two kept in touch over the years, despite the fact that they had parted ways.
His relationship with Alina reignited in October 2023, around the time Caleb was wrapping up his college tenure at USC. Caleb kept the posts low-key and continually managed to post Alina while covering her face, while she would also post a few on their shared TikTok account.

The couple's romance surfaced on the night of the 2024 NFL Draft. The couple made their emotional debut together as Alina wowed in a silver dress and Caleb in a matching blue suit. There were a number of memorable moments that day, most notably when the Bears drafted Caleb first overall, and his mother sent him an emotional video that brought him to tears. Alina was at his side, also celebrating.
The couple celebrated their first anniversary quietly in October 2024. Caleb celebrated the occasion on Instagram with a heartfelt toast,
