Rashee Rice drove a Lamborghini SUV that caused a six-car collision in Dallas
In March 2024, Rashee Rice drove a Lamborghini SUV at 119 mph on a Dallas freeway seconds before triggering a six-car crash that injured four people. His former college teammate, Teddy Knox, drove a Corvette at 116 mph before the crash.
Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving a sports car at high speed, causing a chain-reaction crash with multiple vehicles and injuries. He pleaded guilty to two third-degree felony charges: collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury.
"Last March, I was involved in a high-speed accident in Dallas," Rice said in a statement released via his attorney in July 2025. "There have been a lot of sleepless nights thinking about the damages that my actions caused, and I will continue working within my means to make sure that everyone impacted will be made whole.
I urge everyone to mind the speed limit, drive safe, and drive smart. Last and certainly not least, I am profoundly sorry for the physical damages to person and property. I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families."
