Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara set to make history as the main performer at the first-ever TikTok Awards
New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson's wife Ciara, is about to step onto a stage that represents just how much the entertainment landscape has changed. This week, she will headline the first-ever TikTok Awards in the United States, a landmark moment for the platform and a clear sign of how deeply social media creators now shape pop culture. For fans, it is more than just another performance. It is the collision of mainstream music stardom and the creator economy in real time.
TikTok has become a launchpad for songs, dances, and personalities that travel far beyond the app. Artists break records there, trends are born there, and audiences feel closer to the people they follow than ever. Having Ciara lead the inaugural show feels intentional. Her career has always been rooted in movement, performance, and connection, the same qualities that drive TikTok’s most successful creators.
She will not be the only familiar face in the room. The awards show will be hosted by La La Anthony and feature appearances from Paris Hilton, Bethenny Frankel, Micky Gordon, Josh Richards, and Jordan Chiles. Several popular TikTok creators, including REI AMI, Tan France, Tefi Pessoa, Justin Danger, Patrick Starrr, Carter Gregory, and Ashby Florence, are also set to present awards throughout the night.
La La Anthony shared her excitement about hosting the historic event and the community behind it. “I’ve always loved how TikTok brings people together through stories, creativity, and a whole lot of joy," she said. "Hosting the first TikTok Awards in the US is truly special. I’m excited to celebrate the creators who inspire us, teach us, and make us laugh every single day.”
The TikTok Awards will be livestreamed from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 18. Fans can tune in on the TikTok app and Tubi, with the red carpet beginning at 5 p.m. and the ceremony starting at 6 p.m.
The announcement also comes during a happy personal moment for Ciara. Just days earlier, she and husband Russell Wilson celebrated their daughter Amora Princess Wilson’s second birthday. “You bring us sunshine, happiness, and pure joy every day! We’re so excited you’re now the big 2! God is so good! Happy Birthday! We love you soooo much! 2 means Peace,” Ciara wrote. Wilson added, "Happy Birthday Amora!!! You bring such a light to our family," followed by, "Your personality shines and your giggles are so contagious. We thank God every day for you! Mommy & Daddy Love you so so much."
