Move over, Travis and Taylor, there is a new power couple taking over the NFL engagement spotlight! While the veteran stars are busy planning their summer weddings, the New England Patriots’ rising star Joshua Farmer just proved that the defensive line has a romantic side, too.
In a move that was much smoother than his pass-rush technique, the Patriots’ second-year defensive tackle officially proposed to his longtime girlfriend, S’ymia, this February. And in the best news Patriots fans have had all offseason: She said yes!
Patriots Defender Joshua Farmer Celebrates Engagement Following Promising Rookie Year
Farmer didn't just wing this one, he came with a championship-level game plan. The 2025 fourth-round pick out of Florida State traded his football cleats for some "Marry Me" neon lights, creating a stunning scene filled with red roses, flickering candles, and enough romance to make a Hallmark movie look amateur.
S’ymia has been Farmer’s biggest supporter since his days dominating the ACC at Florida State, and seeing the two transition from college sweethearts to an engaged NFL couple has fans everywhere hitting the "heart" button.
For Farmer, this engagement is a massive win during what has been a rollercoaster year. After being drafted 137th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, Farmer showed flashes of brilliance on the interior line for New England.
As a rookie, he appeared in 13 games and recorded 15 total tackles, with a rotational role on the defensive line.
Unfortunately, his rookie campaign was cut short in late December due to a nagging hamstring injury that landed him on Injured Reserve.
However, they say a happy home leads to a happy huddle. Entering his second season in 2026, Farmer is looking to become a cornerstone of the Patriots' defense. With a wedding to plan and a clean bill of health, he’s heading into spring training with a lot more than just a playbook on his mind, he’s got a wedding ring to pick out!
It seems like there’s something in the water this February. Between Joshua Farmer’s engagement and the ongoing countdown to the Kelce-Swift nuptials, the "No Flex League" is quickly becoming the "Newlywed Football League."
Whether he’s sacking quarterbacks or picking out floral arrangements, Joshua Farmer is officially off the market. Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Farmer, here’s to a 2026 season filled with sacks, tackles, unforgettable celebrations, and a whole lot of wedding cake, champagne toasts, and championship-level love.
