In a recent report for Last Word on Sports, NFL analyst David Latham pointed toward the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens as possible fits for Diggs after ESPN analyst Jeremy Fowler said both teams are still looking at the veteran wide receiver market.

The main buzz started after ESPN analyst Fowler said, "A lot of free agent receivers available. You've got Keenan Allen, you've got Stefon Diggs, you've got Tyreek Hill, and you have a lot of teams that need help," Fowler said on SportsCenter. "Kansas City Chiefs are a little thin at receiver. The Baltimore Ravens are a little thin."

Meanwhile, Stefon Diggs answered plenty of questions during the 2025 season. After coming back from a torn ACL, the four-time Pro Bowler became quarterback Drake Maye’s top target in New England and finished with 85 receptions, 1,013 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

That production still carries weight around the league. The Baltimore Ravens already have a top option in Zay Flowers, who crossed 1,200 receiving yards last season. Still, Baltimore lacks another dependable veteran target behind him. Rashod Bateman continues to show flashes but has not fully delivered consistent production. Diggs could give quarterback Lamar Jackson another trusted receiver in critical moments.

Kansas City also makes sense for a different reason. The Kansas City Chiefs continue adjusting their offense around Patrick Mahomes after his ACL injury. Rashee Rice looks ready for a bigger role, but the offense still needs another experienced playmaker. Xavier Worthy remains an unfinished product, while Travis Kelce no longer dominates games every single week like earlier in his career.

Stefon Diggs may not be in his prime anymore, but he still creates separation and understands how to attack defenses underneath. For teams chasing a Super Bowl, those details matter.

Even after releasing Stefon Diggs earlier this offseason, the New England Patriots still cannot be completely ruled out. The Patriots continue searching for more help around Drake Maye. Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas remain useful pieces, but neither established himself as a true WR1 last season.

The New England Patriots also continue to get linked with A.J. Brown in trade speculation. If that move falls apart, bringing Stefon Diggs back could become the team’s safest late-offseason solution.
