NEW DELHI: Four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore of the New Orleans Saints has been placed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury sustained during Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. The move to injured reserve will sideline Lattimore for a minimum of four games. The Saints had a bye week following the Week 10 game.

Lattimore, 27, has started in all 10 games of the current season, amassing 48 tackles and one interception. However, his playing time has been impacted by injuries in recent seasons. In 2022, he was limited to seven games due to kidney and rib injuries.
Selected by the Saints as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2017 draft, Lattimore has had an impactful career, accumulating 15 interceptions, five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, and 375 tackles over 90 games spanning seven seasons.
To address the absence of Lattimore, the Saints have elevated veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and fullback Adam Prentice from the practice squad. Pierre-Paul, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, brings considerable experience to the Saints. Over his 13-season career, he has recorded 94.5 sacks and 21 forced fumbles in 179 regular-season games with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Baltimore Ravens. The Saints will face the Atlanta Falcons in their upcoming game.
