“My world turned upside down”: Gisele Bündchen opens up about the pain of learning Tom Brady’s ex was expecting his child

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady were a power couple in the mid 2000s when the two fell in love on their first date.

The two turned heads with their public romance but things came crashing down when Gisele Bündchen found out that Tom Brady has fathered a child with his ex, Bridget Moynahan, just three months into their relationship.

In her memoir, Lessons, the Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen described the pain she felt when she got to know about the pregnancy.

Gisele Bündchen wrote, "The very next day the news was everywhere, and I felt my world had been turned upside down.”

The former Victoria’s Secret model added, “Needless to say, that wasn't an easy time. But it was a time that brought about so much growth."

But when Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan’s son, Jack, was born in August 2007, Gisele Bündchen ’s feelings about the entire situation changed.

Gisele Bündchen wrote that Jack’s birth was "making my heart expand in ways I didn't know was possible."

Despite the hurdles that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen faced in their relationship, the two continued dating and in 2009, they tied the knot at an intimate ceremony.

Why did Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen divorce?

The two also had two children together but there had always been rumors about tensions in their marriage due to Tom Brady’s intense focus on his career as Gisele Bündchen stepped back from her career.

In 2023, Gisele Bündchen opened up about what went wrong in their marriage of thirteen years to Vanity Fair.

The former Victoria’s Secret model added, “It’s tough because you imagine your life was going to be a certain way, and you did everything you could, you know? I believed in fairy tales when I was a kid. I think it’s beautiful to believe in that. I mean, I’m so grateful I did.”

Gisele Bündchen also explained the reason behind their divorce as she said, “Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart.

Despite their controversial divorce, the two continue to coparent their children and live separately in Miami.
