Micah Parsons confident in Cowboys' playoff chances following Thanksgiving victory against the Giants

Still trailing by two games, Jerry Jones' team is searching for the elusive playoff berth to close out their season. The Dallas Cowboys currently sits third in the chase for NFC's final available position with a plethora of other challengers vying for it. The situation does appear pretty tough with such multiple hopefuls after the New York Giants game they faced over Thanksgiving break which turned in their favor in a score of 27–20.

Micah Parsons optimistic about Cowboys' playoff hopes

Though this victory was celebrated, analysts regarded it as a morale booster against a struggling opponent. Many believe that the win may have little impact on Dallas' broader playoff aspirations. However, linebacker Micah Parsons, a vocal leader on the team, spoke in a more spirited vein. During a post-game interview with Erin Andrews on Fox, Parsons stated, "We know what we got. We know what we can do here. I believe we're gonna turn it around and make a run."

The road ahead for Dallas is not easy at all. With five games remaining against tough opponents like the Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and division rival Philadelphia Eagles, every game will be a test of their mettle. However, Parsons seems to be unmoved by the skepticism surrounding the chances of the Cowboys. Referring to external criticism, he remarked, “There's been a lot of trash talk out there, talking about, 'What difference can we make?'... I'm telling y'all right now, we're coming.”

Back-to-back wins in recent games broke a demoralizing five-game losing streak. Now the Cowboys have an element of hope. Uncertainty for the team is whether this change in momentum shows the team's tenacity in rising above its failures, but for Dallas, it is now another game where they can prove they should be in this playoff discussion.
