Kristin Cavallari is opening up about her divorce from Jay Cutler just days after the former NFL quarterback was busted for a DUI in Tennessee. On the latest episode of her podcast "Let's Be Honest," Cavallari began discussing Cutler's arrest, which was taped before this happened.
Cavallari Weighs in on Cutler's Crisis
“Before we get into today's show, I just wanted to let everyone know that this was recorded before a very public incident involving my ex-husband," she said. Cavallari then continued, "I'm not going to comment on what occurred, but I do hope Jay does get the help he needs." "I wish Jay nothing but the best," she said, further clarifying she wants to keep her thoughts in the comments respectful.

The Franklin Police Department charged Cutler with DUI, failure to exercise due care, and possession of a handgun while under the influence. He was taken into the Williamson County Jail and later released on a $5,000 bond set by the court.
But just one sentence later after describing her short time with Cutler as he was being arrested, Cavallari discusses her marriage with him. "My heart broke in my marriage," she said. "Even though I walked away, it wasn't what I wanted. I tried everything I could." She reiterates the intense pain she has faced over those years saying, "It's heartbreaking when you want something so badly, but you just can't get there."
Setting Her Record Straight
Cavallari pointed out that she was not trying to bring down Cutler. "I'm not talking negatively about Jay at all," she said. "I've said some things publicly in the past. I'm a lot more private these days." She then observed, "We are in the best place we've been since the divorce, and it took four years."
Cavallari said that she was glad they do co-parent and even thought it was a little funny that they recently sat together at one of their son Camden's basketball games. "I never thought we'd get there," she mused, hopefully at the current state of their relationship as co-parents.
