“He said he was going to kill her”: Lawsuit claims Shannon Sharpe allegedly grabbed and threatened to kill young woman over minor delay

Shannon Sharpe, the NFL legend, lost out on a major contract this year and got fired by ESPN. On top of that, the former NFL player ended up paying a whopping $20 million to a young model who had accused him of sexual assault. Even though the lawsuit seems to be settled, the court documents paint a pretty dark picture of what allegedly happened between Shannon Sharpe and the 20 year old model.

Shannon Sharpe allegedly was violent towards the model for being late for five minutes

As per the court documents which have been obtained by NBC Sports, while Shannon Sharpe has been accused of sexual assault, the young woman has also alleged that the NFL legend made many threats to her life.



According to court documents, the lawsuit alleged that on one day, the 20 year old model reached Shannon Sharpe’s house five minutes late and the plaintiff "experienced [Sharpe's] rage for the first time…”

But that’s not all; the lawsuit alleges that Shannon Sharpe screamed at the model "for what felt like hours” and sexually assaulted her.

The lawsuit alleged that the assault also included "Yelling at her, controlling her, forcibly grabbing her by the neck when he got upset, saying he was going to 'kill her,' and asserting dominance became the norm…”

However, Shannon Sharpe and his legal team have denied any such instances of sexual assault and threats. Shannon Sharpe has alleged that all intimate acts performed between him and the 20 year old model was nothing but “consensual”.

Shannon Sharpe paid $20 million to the young model

With regards to the threats made as alleged by the 20 year old model, Shannon Sharpe’s legal team has said that such threats were a part of a role playing act that the two frequently engaged in.

While Shannon Sharpe denied the accusations for months, a few months ago, he ended up reaching a settlement with the 20 year old model as he paid her a whopping $20 million after being sued for $50 million.

The young woman has since announced her retirement from but is pretty active on social media, while Shannon Sharpe is focusing on his podcasts.
