Sean Payton praised Bo Nix for his outstanding performance against the Chiefs

The Denver Broncos almost blew a game to the Kansas City Chiefs when the Chiefs' last-second field goal attempt was blocked. Nix and the Broncos did an excellent job against the NFL's only undefeated team. He completed 22-of-30 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns, and registered a quarterback rating of 115.3. Broncos coach Sean Payton praised his young quarterback, Nix, for his gutsy performance and praise for his poise during the loss though his team put up a disappointing performance. “I thought he played well,” Payton said of his quarterback.
“Gutsy.”In the second half, Kansas City struggled to capitalize on the Broncos' scheme, with Denver's first drive halted by a holding penalty, Nick Bolton's sack of Nix for a loss, and a three-and-out, worsened by a false start penalty on the punt. “I think (Nix) did a good job of playing within the system," Bolton said. “He made a couple of tough throws.”The only real flaws in Nix's performance against the Chiefs, who entered the game with the NFL's fifth-best defense and fourth-best scoring defense, came when he was under pressure. This has been a problem for Nix, who was sacked four times in a 41-10 loss to the Ravens. Despite this, the Broncos (5-5) hope to have another quarterback to compete with Mahomes and the Chiefs (9-0) in the AFC West. However, there were also some superb plays in Arrowhead Stadium. Also Read: Kansas City Chiefs edge Broncos in dramatic 16-14 win, block last-second field goal to stay undefeated
