Bradley Cooper shares behind-the-scenes story of his Super Bowl moment with young superfan Declan LeBaron

The 50-year-old Oscar-nominated actor, a lifelong Eagles fan, stepped onto the field with young Declan, who had recently won the hearts of many through his inspiring story. The duo, clad in the team’s signature green, energized the crowd as they proudly announced the arrival of the Eagles. Roars of excitement filled the stadium as the team emerged from the tunnel.

Declan LeBaron’s journey to the Super Bowl was nothing short of extraordinary. The young fan had first gained attention in a viral TikTok video where he chose a Philadelphia Eagles plushie over $1,000 in cash. His selfless nature shone through when he later decided to distribute the money to other shoppers. This act of kindness caught the attention of the football community, and his story quickly spread. Having spent much of his young life in and out of the hospital battling systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Declan had never experienced a live game—until fate, and a few generous hearts, intervened.

Cooper, deeply moved by Declan’s story, arranged for him to attend an Eagles home game on January 26. It was there that the young fan got to meet his idols, including Saquon Barkley, Isaiah Rodgers, LeSean McCoy, and Beau Allen, capturing moments of pure joy alongside them. But the surprises didn’t stop there. On February 4, during an appearance on The Today Show, Cooper stunned Declan with an even bigger gift—tickets to the Super Bowl itself.
When the NFL approached Cooper to introduce his beloved Eagles before the big game, he had just one condition. “I thought, ‘I’ll only do it if he does it with me,’” Cooper revealed on The Pat McAfee Show. “That would be dope if he did it with me.” And indeed, the moment turned out to be as special as he had imagined.

As the Eagles went on to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in a dominant 40-22 victory, Cooper and Declan shared a celebratory moment that symbolized more than just football—it was about dreams coming true. Cooper later reflected on his deep-rooted love for the Eagles, a tradition passed down from his father, and one he now shares with his daughter, Lea De Seine. “I used to come with my dad, and now I get to bring my daughter. It’s just a beautiful thing in life,” he shared with Fox Sports: NFL.

Filled with gratitude and emotion, Cooper summed up his Super Bowl experience in the most heartfelt way. “It’s a miracle,” he said. “I’m so blessed to be here and I love this team so much.... What a squad.” Dressed in Eagles green from head to toe, the Maestro actor beamed with joy, proving once again that his love for the team goes far beyond the big screen.
