Hill’s season ended in September after tearing multiple ligaments in his left knee against the Jets. Mahomes suffered a torn ACL and LCL in December versus the Chargers, a blow that reshaped the Chiefs’ season. Head coach Andy Reid later addressed Mahomes’ recovery, saying, “Right now, he's in that early process where you've got to hit it hard.” He added, “He's been in there grinding,” underscoring Mahomes’ focus on returning for Week 1 of 2026.



Mahomes still posted solid numbers in 2025, completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 3,587 yards with 22 touchdowns. Yet the offense lacked its old fear factor. A potential reunion with Hill would instantly change that.
