Ever since Tyreek Hill parted ways with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021, fans have speculated about a potential reunion with the Super Bowl champions. Would Hill’s legacy have been different if he had stayed?

Former NFL cornerback Devin McCourty discussed the rumors of a potential reunion between Hill and Mahomes recently on NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Many fans and analysts have been speculating Hill might return to the Chiefs, but he himself doused those rumors by saying he will stick with Miami. McCourty encouraged Hill to keep his mind open, comparing this to the desire of Davante Adams wanting to go with Aaron Rodgers. McCourty said,
“I think also in the back of his [Tyreek Hill’s] mind is like, I mean, go play with Patrick Mahomes again. That team won the last two championships. Like, I wouldn’t mind going there, and I think that’s true—and to me, that’s okay as a player,” McCourty remarked.
While Hill claims he is happy in Miami, especially being close to his family in Florida, McCourty mentioned the return to the Chiefs would not be a bad move for Hill's career. “He has done a really good job of coming into this league, maturing the business of the NFL. His answers were exactly what any player should do and say in that situation.”
And Hill, too, seems to have that element of envy because, with the Chiefs, he seems to sense how they have won those Super Bowls without him.
“This year, when they won, I watched the whole game… I’m cool now. But the first year, it was kind of hard trying to get over that hump of seeing the guys do their thing.” Hill admitted.
When asked directly about the rumors, Tyreek Hill was quick to dismiss them. Despite acknowledging his feelings of envy when the Chiefs won without him, Hill clarified that he’s happy in Miami. He has repeatedly stated that he “wants to be a part of” the Dolphins, expressing his satisfaction with life in Florida, close to family.
Matter of fact, he is saying all the right things about the Dolphins; Hill's past remarks and latest mysterious posts keep the chances of his return to Kansas City alive. Will Tyreek Hill join Davante Adams in returning to their old QB? Only time will tell.
